Belos-PLP contact paste has been specially developed to protect aluminum, aluminum alloys and above-ground reinforced steel conductors, grounding conductors and related equipment. The unique combination of additives and base fluids provides exceptional corrosion protection combined with long-term thermal stability, which ensures perfect protection throughout the life of the guide. Belos-PLP paste uses a non-melting thickener system, which produces a product with a dropping point above 300 ° C and extremely low oil separation at operating temperatures up to 150 ° C. This minimizes oil ingress from the core onto the outer surface of the conductor, which helps reduce the glow effect.
It is used in lubrication:
- compression clamps
- branching clamps
- tube fittings
- SB tube connections
- compression tension clamps
The paste is sold in 400g containers.
Features and Benefits:
- Excellent thermal stability maximizes product integrity over the life of the guide
- Very low oil separation
- It maintains flexibility up to -40 ° C, prevents cracking and flaking of the paste layer at low ambient temperatures
- Provides good corrosion protection for steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and aluminum alloy conductor components
- Reduces frictional wear and pitting on the conductor, which can occur as a result of thermal expansion / contraction and changing weather conditions
User manual:
1. Clean the contact surfaces with a proper stainless steel wire brush. Next polish the contact surfaces with sandpaper with grit size not lower then 220 or polishing sponge. Remove metal fittings after rushing. Cleaning and smoothing must be carrier out evenly in all direction.
2. Apply a thin layer of grease on the contact surfaces - optimal layer thickness is 0,25mm.
3. Threads should be greased before tigtening. Tighten the bands coneutirely. Tighten the opposite bolts until achieving required torque [40Nm] using torque wreanch.
WARNING:
- Do not use the same abrasive tools on copper, steel and aluminum surfaces as this may cause galvanic corrosion.
- The paste has been designed for use at ambient temperatures and does not require heating before use.
- Other types of paste may not be compatible with Belos-PLP paste - thoroughly wash the application equipment to remove residues of previous pastes and avoid incompatibility problems.
- According to BS EN 50326: 2002, the paste is suitable for use in the operating temperature range from -20 ° C to + 150 ° C.
- Do not store the contact paste in direct sunlight and protect against frost.
- The storage temperature should be between 5 ° C and 35 ° C
Approvals and standards:
- BS EN 50326: 2002 with the designation 20A150
- IEC 61394: 2011 with the designation 20A150
- The paste is approved:
- UK National Network on NGTS 3.4.2
- Eskom, South Africa on 13TB-015
